Transworld aims to become a point of reference for all European companies for spring production and wire processing, providing manufacturing solutions through the sale of high-quality machinery and ensuring excellent engineering support throughout the life of its products, thus helping spring makers to manufacture parts in-house.

Philip Barrett founded Transworld Engineering Ltd in 2009 after a period of travel and research in China, more precisely in Dongguan, thanks to which he had the opportunity to select the best manufacturers and develop with them deep and well-rooted friendships and partnerships. The company has always benefited from the collaboration with Stuart Pilley who, thanks to his great dexterity and ambition, has helped expand the market to an international level. His love and interest in this world led him to acquire the company in 2023.

Thanks to the continuous collaboration between the two directors Phil and Stuart, the company represents the union between tradition in customer care and the modernity and technological advancement of the machines. Currently, Transworld has a young highly qualified and ever-expanding team working to ensure that the machines and after-sales service it provides live up to expectations.

Transworld Engineering provides spring coiling and spring former machinery, and for over 15 years it has been improving their technology to a high standard, supplying and assisting customers in UK, Italy and over other 30 countries worldwide.

Thanks to a deep and lasting friendship, Transworld Engineering also represents SAS Inc. (Spring Analysis Systems) in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia. SAS Inc. are specialists in Compression & Extension Spring-Testing Machinery.

We supply high quality tooling from Comtech Italia SRL, as well as precision carbide and high-speed steel toolmakers.

In July 2018 Transworld Engineering became representatives of Shinko Machinery Co. Ltd (Osaka, Japan) to the UK and Ireland market.

In February 2023, the company decided to make some new steps towards the future, becoming officially a member of Made in Group, helping in valuing the local manufacturing sector of the Midlands, and reducing the paper consumption in its office with the aim of becoming paper-free in the next future.

With its new headquarter in Cradley Heath (Birmingham) and its qualified and ambitious team, Transworld Engineering has started a new chapter in its history, continuing to innovate and expand its range to ensure that its customers will always have the best and latest solution for their production.
